Peace Walk and Celebration

32nd Annual NE Georgia Martin Luther King Jr

“I have decided to stick with Love…Hate is too great a burden to bear.”  Martin Luther King, Jr.

In order to continue the work of increasing peace and justice in the world, our hearts and minds must be replenished. We need nourishment for body and soul, encouragement, and reminders of why we do what we do.

This Sunday offers such an opportunity.
To walk hand in hand. To join our voices in song.To be reminded of the vision of Martin Luther King Jr. To share a meal and greet one another with love.

I hope you will join us….
All are welcome.
Definitely family friendly!

Please bring a dish to share for the potluck. You can bring food to the church starting at 1:15 pm, before the walk begins.

A bit of musical inspiration for your day…… In thinking about our gathering together this Sunday I am particularly moved by these lines of CarriNewcomer’s song, “There’s Room At the Table”:|

“Let us sing the new world in. This is how it all begins….
Here and now we can be the beloved community.
There is room at the table for everyone.”
