Meet Greet and Support Fannin Candidates Saturday October 6

The Fannin County Democratic Party

A BBQ Fundraiser to support our three candidates: Dixie Carter (County Commissioner-Post 2), Jeff DePaola (School Board), and Susan DeMoura (School Board), and we need EVERYONE’S helps in making this a success!!! Tickets for the event are $25, and includes BBQ chicken, pulled pork and all the fixings, dessert, drink, and entry into raffle drawings of items donated by local vendors. We will have the tickets available for sale at Monday’s General Party meeting (September 3rd) and would love for each member to take a block of tickets to sell to others you may know. If you’re not going to be available to attend Monday’s meeting, but would like some tickets, please let Susan DeMoura know (phone: 706-900-6295/email: and we will make a plan to meet you in a central location in Blue Ridge or deliver them to your home.

We have reached out to all the state-wide candidates running for office and have received confirmation of attendance from Josh McCall (9th District Congressional Candidate), Rick Day (GA Representative District 7 Candidate), and a surrogate for Richard Keatley (Commissioner of Labor Candidate). Because Pete’s pavilion is SO large, we have the luxury of inviting up to 200 or so people to attend. So, in addition to our Fannin County residents, we hope to attract voters from at least the following counties within the 9th District: Gilmer, Union, Towns and Pickens. If you have friends in these counties, PLEASE let them know, as this might be their only opportunity to hear from the state-wide candidates that are competing for these very important seats. We expect to add more candidates to the slate of speakers as the remaining confirmations are received and are also planning some special surprise appearances as well!

If you haven’t already received the flyer shown below in an email, please let me know and I’ll be happy to send it to you. We really hope to see you all come out in support of our local candidates and encourage you to buy tickets for yourself and sell them to others. This is a great opportunity to spread the word about our presence in this area. We’re not going anywhere, folks, so we might as well get busy getting noticed!
